We Are Two Million Solar Strong
Have you heard? Research leader Wood Mackenzie and the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) recently announced a huge milestone—two million homes and businesses have gone solar in the United States. Key stats:
- Two million solar projects installed across all 50 states
- Generating enough electricity each year to power more than 12 million homes
- Supporting over 242,000 jobs nationwide
That’s two million systems generating clean, renewable energy every day of the year. And with over 285,000 residential and commercial SunPower systems installed in the US, you and your teams have directly contributed to this momentous achievement. If you haven’t already, show your pride on LinkedIn, Twitter, or Facebook!

Congratulations to SunPower by Earthlight Technologies, a Connecticut-based SunPower Master Dealer, who completed installation of a 500 kW SunPower solar energy system for Xavier High School in Middletown, CT. The system is offsetting 100% of the school’s annual electricity usage!
“This sends a message to everyone that the natural resources we have are not infinite, and we all need to pay better attention to how we use those resources. For us to be our own providers of energy is unique. There are few high schools like us in the state of Connecticut,” said David Eustis, Xavier Headmaster.
